My very first giveaway. BE A WINNER!!

The time has come to finally reupholster these potentially great chairs. Here's a link to what the room looks like. These chairs were left by my neighbor for the garbage truck. Can you believe that? They are the coolest chairs. We saved them from the landfill and intend on giving them a very good home. So first things first - what fabric should we reupholster them with? I'm open to suggestions also. I layered a few for the possibility of using the dots for the piping. Here are our selections so far:

Please leave a note in the comments section. I will have a drawing on April 19th (in honor of my sister's birthday) from all of the people who leave comments and you may win a very special prize. This necklace in the your choice of letter:
Your chances are AMAZING! ~trust me:)

My vote is for number 6. I think that one will age well and won't go out of fashion too quickly!

I kind of like the blue that is already on them (but I can tell they need some love) so I'm going to have #3 is my choice. Great redo by the way. Wanna come over and do my craft room next!!

i absolutely love #4!!! :) those are great chairs!!

My vote is for #3 with the dots from #5 as the piping. I love the way the color in #3 would look up against the orange divider and green wall. It will stand out. The room redo is amazing. I love all of the colors.

What a great find!! I'm jealous! I vote for #1 or #3. But all of them would look fabulous :)

Love your work too (hope I'm the lucky winner!)

My choice would be #4. It will compliment (not clash) with your orange screen and your awesome green walls. Great choices, by the way!

I think any of them would be great but my favorite is #5. Is that Amy Butler? I love it! Great find, too. Cant wait to see the chairs finished! :)

#5....Those chairs are quite a nice find!

I too say #5 for the vintage feel, but number 3 would be my second choice.

Hmmm, tough one. I'd have to go with number 4 :) And if you have any fabric left over....

I want to see what you do with those chairs. I've always wanted to do the same thing. Choice 5 would be interesting--really unique color scheme, orange is super popular so manybe no. 4 or 6?
Great options.

I would totally say #6. Bright and happy, yet subtle enough to stay in stay for a bit :) Awesome chairs. Love the high backs- Almost like royalty- ooo- maybe purple??... ok now I'm getting carried away.

Hi! I'm new to your blog... but, I had to comment! (That necklace is beautiful!) For some reason, my eye keeps looking at #1- so that's my vote!

Those chairs are an amazing find!

I vote for #3.

I vote for #5. I like the way it pulls the wall color into the design....

I'd vote for the dots like 3 but in a green color like 5, I just think it'll be perfect against both the orange and light green. Beautiful room btw and I want that necklace!

#3 looks really great...love your jewelry. Thanks

I like the 1st and 3rd. My fave color is blue so I'd go with that. Plus it wouldn't go out of style too fast. You have beautiful jewelry! I LOVE personalized goodies!

gigibelts said...

I vote #3 because the blue already looks great in that room. You also have that side table with what looks like a similar pattern so it'll look like you bought it together. Plus the ivory legs on the chair contrast with that blue very nicely. Good luck and great save!!!!

oh they are all so lovely!!! I'm going to go with #4. And those chairs are seriously awesome. I have some chairs I got for $5 (together) at Goodwill that need to new cushions...

Mrs.French said...

ooooo let's see...I say number 3. I choose this because this way we are staying true to the chairs (at least in color). I am keeping my fingers crossed!

My vote is for #5. Green is always calming, and the chrysanthemum print is awesome. The chairs have a bohemian quality that would match well with the fabric.

I think you should source some vintage ties in more or less appropriate colours. Wash them, unpick them and then patch them together. Use this fabric to upholster the chairs in a never to be repeated design! It is something I am planning on doing soon!

I really like blue, so #3 is nice.

I just found your blog/etsy store today, and I look forward to browsing and shopping.

Oh how lucky am I to have found you on Etsy today and read about your give away ... and I get to give my opinion on something too, LOL!

I would vote for #3, I love the orange dots and think they're slightly unexpected but not over the top. I'll be tuning in to see the makeover of the chairs ... very cool!

Thanks!

awesome chairs!!! i like #3...the cool blue color goes well with the red screens...

#1! I think the size of this print is just perfect for the chairs! I do love the prints of 3 and 5 but the scale of them seem a bit too overpowering for the chairs! but any fabric you choose will be amazing!

Aimee Dars said...

I like #6 best, but if the chairs (what a great find! what a silly neighbor!) will stay where they are pictured, it might be too much orange, so I'd go with #4.

P.S. LOVE your jewelry!
